THE MOST AUTHENTIC TRIBUTE TO ROD STEWART AND THE FACES IN THE WORLD

                                                                                          Band Biog

The first talk about Rods Faces came about during a pint down the pub between Gary and Chris. Both had been playing in two very successful Status Quo tribute acts however, after 8 years on the road playing the same set list every night, a change was needed.

Gary then out of the blue said lets do a Rod Stewart band, no better still lets do a Rod Stewart and the Faces band. Well Chris just looked at him and said great idea but how do we get a Rod Stewart. With that Gary said that he always thought he could do a Stewart and that it had been an ambition for years. They both left the pub with their minds working over time of the prospects of a new venture.

As time went on, a first band was put together and rehearsals got under way one wet Sunday afternoon in November 2005 and what a day it was. Chris realised that his worries were over and that he had probably found the best Rod Stewart in the country. This finished with the usual pint or three at the local and Chris giving Gary verbal over why he had not said he could sing like Rod Stewart years ago when they first met.

As rehearsals took shape, the then Woody (Micko Owen) who worked at Bristol's well known live bar The Prom got Rods Faces their first gig and they started the Bare Faced Audacity Tour, namely a series of gigs around the West Country's more discerning live music venues to see just how well this new venture would go down before putting it in to the kind of venues that they were used to playing. They need not have worried, this relatively fresh faced 5 piece convincingly delivered a faithful set of vintage Faces music right up to Rod Stewarts solo hits which went down a storm wherever they played.

2 years down the line after a few line-up changes and now a stable 5 piece, Rods Faces are not to be missed. Just to see these guys now all good friends who enjoy what they do, deliver an evening of uplifting ballads and seriously roosty rock 'n' roll is something not to be missed.
